The Spanish Opening:
The Spanish Opening belongs to the King pawn family of openings and is one of the most famous openings played on the international scene.
The chess normal opening moves are:
1.e4 e5
2.Nf3 Nc6
3.Bb5
This move (3.Bb5) by White signals that he wants to play the Spanish Opening.

Eliminating the defender:
Here Black normally plays 3....a6 chasing the bishop on b5. White can capture the knight on c6. The only defender of the e5 pawn.
3.... a6
4.Bxc6 dxc6
5.Nxe5
